There are both similarities and differences between artists and designers in the meaning of people, who create different forms of designs: from web design to home interior designs and to automobile designs. While artists usually create whatever and however they want, driven by their own passion and desires, designers usually have to work in the direction, requested by their bosses or clients. However, that does not turn the process of designing into a kind of mechanic routine work, deprived of any creative component. Moreover, designers also need inspiration just like artists, because what they create is expected to be not only efficient and satisfying all the technical criteria of a particular project assignment, but it also needs to be original, fresh, and visually appealing.
